Magic of Cinema Screening of We The People

Join Peninsula College’s Magic of Cinema for a screening of We the People 2.0: The Second American Revolution, Tuesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm in Maier Performance Hall.

The film is a visual essay about the loss of democracy in the United States.  The story unfolds through the eyes of rural people who have faced decades of toxic dumps, drilling and mines in their communities; they realize they can’t stop the destruction because the U.S. has become a corporate state serving the few.  These people are challenging this oligarchy - thereby saving nature and themselves.

The screening is co-sponsored by the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) and the Olympic Climate Action group.  It will be followed by a question and answer session with CELDF organizer Kai Huschke and lawyer Lindsey Schromen-Wawrin.

This film is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted. For more information contact Sean Gomez at sgomez@pencol.edu.
