Summary of Duties
Job involves set up and take down of biology labs that occur in M217, and M213 specifically, and somewhat M215. This would involve very simple but critical tasks such as:
- washing glassware and slides,
- re-shelving lab materials in the prep rooms,
- help stocking handouts,
- organizing materials for labs,
- removing materials from lab to prep room for breakdown
Depending on the hours, it could also involve help with maintaining the plants in M217. Helping pack up field materials for field trips and rinsing and drying equipment after labs would be a huge help.
Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Able to lift equipment with the weight of the microscopes,
- Able to carry some equipment from prep room to cars, when going out on field trips.
Preferred Skills:
- Organized,
- Doesn’t mind menial tasks,
- Follows directions,
- Has a familiarity with the names of equipment used in labs (petri dish, beaker, pipette etc)
Approximate Hours Per Week:
10 hours per week
Days and Hours Needed:
Monday through Friday; able to work around student schedule. Mornings are preferred (prior to 1:30pm labs).

10. Workplace Simulation Mastery: Student worker will learn how to receive and learn from feedback, importance of regular input to and from the supervisor, and the supervisor will perform genuine performance evaluations and exit interviews.
