PC’s Incident Management Team (IMT) met this afternoon to continue contingency planning in response to ongoing COVID-19 developments locally and statewide. Another IMT meeting is planned for Monday, March 16.
EOC Update:
As of the 4:30 pm Emergency Operations Center briefing, there were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Clallam County. One confirmed case of COVID-19 has been identified in Jefferson County. This is an evolving situation, and we will continue to attend the twice-daily briefings this week.
The County Health Officer is not recommending closures of public schools or other public spaces, nor cancellation of scheduled community activities. We are following that guidance at this time.
At this time, no additional cautions beyond those given yesterday. (at risk populations—elderly, pregnant women, and those with underlying medical issues—should consider not attending large public gatherings).
Enhanced messaging around personal hygiene and staying home when ill is still being advised as the most effective means to limit spread of the virus. For the latest updates and recommendations on this evolving situation visit:
