Dear Students,
Peninsula College is closed to the public today, March 17, as we work on transitioning to remote operations. This decision was made Monday based on COVID-19 developments over the weekend and announcements from Governor Inslee and the federal COVID-19 response team. We are working to institute teleworking for college employees as much as possible, at least through April 13.
Following is a list of closures that will remain in effect through April 13:
- College offices
- Classrooms
- Fitness Center
- Gym
- Library
- Market and Deli
- Sigmar Field
All campus events have been cancelled through April 13.
The daycare center will remain open, unless ordered otherwise.
Student Services and the Business Office will transition to remote operations as much as possible per state and federal recommendations. If you need assistance with registration, financial aid, or other student services, please call (360) 452-9277. Pirate Central staff will be answering calls during business hours while the College is under remote operations. We will have minimal on-site staffing during this time, and we thank you for your patience.

There are lots of details to work out, and we appreciate your patience and compliance as we navigate through these uncharted waters. This is a challenging situation, but we have a shared responsibility to follow state and federal guidance to the utmost of our abilities. Together we can contribute to the best possible health and economic outcomes for our college, our families and our community. Please do your part to limit the spread of this dangerous virus!
We will be sharing additional information and resources in the coming days and weeks to help us get through these difficult times together.
Thank you for helping see us through this time of transition,
Luke Robins
