Dear Campus Community,
We are currently making preparations to begin limited in-person instruction at our Port Angeles campus in specific programs considered essential by the governor’s office, such as nursing, welding, automotive, construction trades, and medical assisting. Current plans call for welding, automotive, and construction trades to begin on May 26; Medical assisting and nursing will commence on June 1-2. All other instruction will continue remotely for the remainder of the spring quarter.
Following the state’s guidance, we are observing social distancing, and adhering to recommendations for personal protective equipment (PPE) and enhanced cleaning protocols for these programs. We will also be implementing an automated computer check in system, and are using health screening protocols to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff.
We are currently discussing options for course delivery for fall quarter. Our goal is to make a decision about how classes will be delivered by June 1st.
