Summary of Duties
- Perform clerical support duties; maintain electronic and manual records and files.
- Complete complex copying jobs which may include collating, stapling, hole punching, and folding.
- Perform word processing and data entry for enrollment and other program requirements.
- Format correspondence and printed materials such as newsletters, flyers and handouts.
- Serve as a receptionist and greet parents, children, students and general public.
- Respond to telephone inquiries and provide information for all programs.
- Provide student information according to college policy and FERPA guidelines.
- Assist students, staff and faculty with ECE/FLE resources and maintain the appropriate records.
- Monitor supplies and order as needed.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for billing and reporting purposes.
- Assist children in the classroom under the direct supervision of a teacher for brief periods.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to use the internet.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a good rapport with children, parents, students, and coworkers.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Flexibility and adaptability in work conditions and hours.
- Excellent communication skills; both oral and written, are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and to communicate clearly with native and non-native English speakers.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with families and staff.
- Works as a team member.
- Possesses tactful and diplomatic interpersonal relationship skills.
- HIV/AIDS certification
- Proof of Negative TB Test within the past year.
- Satisfactory Criminal History and Background Inquiry.
- May be required to lift moderate amounts of weight up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work with children
- Prior customer service experience

10. Workplace Simulation Mastery: Student worker will learn how to receive and learn from feedback, importance of regular input to and from the supervisor, and the supervisor will perform genuine performance evaluations and exit interviews.
