PC is open, but doing business remotely, as we follow current state and public health guidelines. Instruction and student services are operating online, and we can respond to most questions and requests you may have remotely.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate our current reality. We are open and ready to serve you. Go Pirates!
A Message from the President
Dear Campus Community:
As we near the end of a very unusual summer on the Peninsula, we are putting the finishing touches to our “Safe Return to Campus (PDF)” plan for the fall quarter. The overriding imperative informing this plan is ensuring the safety and health or Peninsula College students, faculty, and staff while continuing to provide high quality educational services to our students. Given the current course of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, we will begin the fall quarter on September 28th much as we ended the spring and summer quarters, with the majority of instruction being delivered remotely. Exceptions to this delivery method include specific programs deemed essential by the Governor’s office: welding, automotive, construction trades, and allied health programs. These programs will conduct limited face to face instruction as necessary.
We will continue to conduct business operations remotely where possible. Exceptions will include minimal staffing of Pirate Central, the Business Office and other essential administrative offices, and the Bookaneer and Market/Deli.
The PC Market and Deli will be open for pick-up orders during fall quarter for those working or attending classes on campus. Order online, and pick up your food at our barista window. To place your order visit: https://pencol.edu/services/bookaneer-market-and-deli
Following the state’s guidance, we are mandating the wearing of masks in public areas of campus, observing social distancing, and adhering to recommendations for personal protective equipment (PPE) and enhanced cleaning protocols for programs with face to face instructional components. We are also employing an automated computer check in system for anyone visiting campus, and are using health screening protocols to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff.
As we progress through the fall quarter, we’ll be monitoring the course of the pandemic closely, and we’ll be making adjustments to our plan based on events, advice, and consultation with our public health officials. While we are hopeful for a gradual return to more face to face interactions, we should also be prepared for further restrictions if infection rates spike.

We thank you again for your flexibility and understanding during this unprecedented quarter, and beyond. Together, we can beat this pandemic if we mask up, maintain social distance, avoid large gatherings and stay safe.
