PC Foundation Announces Scholarship 2022 Application Process

Submitted by karidesser on Mon, 2022-01-10 08:05

Beginning January 18, the Peninsula College Foundation will open its application process, offering more than $110,000.00 in scholarships to students attending Peninsula College in the 2022-2023 academic year.

A large number of scholarships are available for students in the healthcare field, as well as welding, cybersecurity and IT, multimedia communications, criminal justice, the sciences, education, language arts, journalism, music, business administration, and others. Several of the scholarships being offered are considered “full-ride”, at over $6,000.00 each. Criteria for awards varies, supporting financial need, academic achievement, area and tribal students, first generation college students, and more. Application deadlines vary, with the majority due Sunday, April 17, 2022. Applicants are advised to check each scholarship’s deadline.

To apply for Peninsula College Foundation scholarships, follow these steps:

• Visit www.theWashBoard.org

• Create a login and a personal profile, or update existing profile.

• Enter “Peninsula College” in the search toolbar to review the list of all available PC and PC Foundation scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year.

• Apply! There is no limit to the number of scholarships that an individual can apply for.

While the majority of Foundation scholarships will open on January 18, applicants are advised to check back often for additional scholarships that may become available.

Students are encouraged to start the process early as many scholarships require letters of recommendation, personal essays, and unofficial transcripts. Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the scholarship deadline will not be accepted.

Award notifications for general scholarships will be provided to applicants beginning May 16. Award notifications for nursing-specific scholarships will begin on July 25.

For more information about the scholarships process, please contact the Peninsula College Foundation at foundation@pencol.edu or visit https://pencol.edu/scholarships
