July 30th, 4-6pm, through Zoom.
We are delighted to welcome writer, speaker, and activist Shewa Dedeke, who uses vulnerability as an art form to offer a presentation and facilitate dialogue.
In her discussion, Dedeke will explore questions including these:
How do we ensure that the Black Lives Matter movement is not a trend? How do we incorporate the learning and unlearning of racism and personal biases into our everyday lives? How do we center Black and Brown voices in spaces we occupy?
This series is co-sponsored by Studium Generale, Magic of Cinema, PC Forks, the Peninsula College English Department, PC Library/Media Center, and ʔaʔk̓ʷustəƞáwt̓xʷ House of Learning, PC Longhouse. We are grateful for generous contributions to the Peninsula College Foundation.
