Following a meeting with state officials this morning, Peninsula College students who are enrolled in online or virtual classes with no on-campus requirements are automatically exempted from the governor’s vaccination mandate for fall quarter. The college’s expectation is that students who are 100% online will not receive in-person services on PC campuses.
Current student guidelines for the vaccine mandate are as follows:
• Complete the attestation or file a medical or religious exemption.
• The deadline for the attestation for the exemption has been extended until Oct 18.
• Students who are enrolled in online or virtual classes with no on-campus requirements are exempt from the attestation process.
“The pandemic remains a very fluid situation and these guidelines are based on the most current information that we have,” President Luke Robins said. “We appreciate everyone’s continued patience and will continue to provide updates as information changes.”

New Release: 8/31/2021
In July Peninsula College announced that it would be a “vaccinated campus” beginning fall quarter, following the Higher Education Proclamation issued by Governor Inslee.
Students who are planning to attend Peninsula College this fall, in-person or online, will need to complete an attestation form, entering their COVID-19 vaccination status, by September 27. As stated in the amended proclamation issued by Governor Inslee on August 28, students are no longer able to claim a philosophical exemption from vaccination. Exemptions are still available for medical or religious reasons.
Instructions for completing an attestation form or claiming a medial or religious exemption can be found at https://pencol.edu/vaccinatedcampus. A list of FAQ’s and contact information is available on the site as well.
All students and employees, including remote learners and workers, who plan to take classes, in-person or online, will need to be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021 as a condition of enrollment. Fully vaccinated status means completing a two week waiting period after the second shot for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or after a single shot of Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
Vaccination clinics will be held on the PC Port Angeles campus September 13 and October 4 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
