Fall Quarter 2020 Bus Pass
The summer quarter bus pass is good through the start of fall quarter. Students who qualify for the bus pass can pick up their fall quarter pass by contacting Pirate Central with name, student ID and the address where we can mail the pass. Due to the pandemic, Peninsula College will not be issuing student ID cards until further notice.
The Associated Student Council voted in June to continue the bus pass for 2020-21, despite the College continuing to be mostly on-line. The bus pass is an annual contract with Clallam Transit and Jefferson Transit that costs all students $8 and allows them to ride anywhere in Clallam or Jefferson counties. Although many of our students never a bus, the ASC was committed to serving those students who may not have other transportation options to get to campus, or to work, or to shop for essential supplies in our community. If students in Clallam County were to buy that same pass from Clallam Transit, it would cost $54 a month or approximately $162 per quarter.
The other half of the transportation fee, also $8, provides annual maintenance for the parking lot that cannot be covered by state perational funds. The parking lot maintenance doesn’t change based on whether or not students and staff are coming to campus.
Quarterly Peninsula College Bus Pass Information (Post COVID-19)
Peninsula College students enrolled in tuition-based courses are eligible for a quarterly Peninsula College Bus Pass. The non-transferable bus pass allows students’ unlimited travel on Clallam Transit buses throughout Clallam County during the quarter they are enrolled. A $8.00 fee is charged to all students in credit-bearing classes; this was voted for by students through the Associated Student Body. Beginning Fall quarter of 2015, students will have the opportunity to ride both Clallam Transit AND Jefferson Transit buses with an $8.00 fee.
Here is how you obtain your pass:
- Pick up your free Student ID card from the Student Services Front Counter and ask about your bus pass sticker. The ID card will be good for the entire year, but the sticker must be renewed each quarter.
- The Bus Pass cannot be used until the first day of the quarter, but is valid during the break between quarters.
- If you are enrolled in only Continuing Education classes, you are not eligible for a Peninsula College Bus Pass.
- The Bus Pass Fee is non-refundable unless the student withdraws, does not pick up the bus pass, and requests a refund.
If you are not currently enrolled in a tuition-based course but enrolled in one of the programs listed below, you may still purchase a bus pass or parking pass for $8.00 each.

- Upward Bound
- GED Prep
- Child of Police/Fire
- Fallen Vet, Spouse/Child
If you lose your ID card with your Bus Pass, please go to the Student Services front counter and a $10.00 replacement fee to obtain a new card and pass.
