The program goals of the Associate Degree Nursing Program is to provide an organized curriculum, which prepares a student to receive an Associate in Nursing DTA/MRP degree, obtain a registered nurse license after passing the licensure exam, and function in the role of a novice registered nurse.

Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement of LPN-RN students may be possible on a case-by-case basis. This may allow part-time studies for two quarters, followed by full time studies for four quarters. Application requirements are the same for all candidates, including required prerequisites. 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

Students who complete the Associate of Nursing DTA/MRP degree at Peninsula College and pass the NCLEX licensing exam can transfer to most RN-BSN programs in Washington state with senior standing. In most cases, this means students can complete their bachelor's degree in nursing in one additional year of full time study. Please inquire with the specific RN-BSN program you are interested in for admission requirements, which may vary.

Peninsula College has not made a determination that the Nursing curriculum meets educational requirements for licensure/certification outside of Washington State. We encourage students who plan to work out-of-state to check relevant local licensure/certification requirements.
