Peninsula College is excited to welcome back sculptor and Cherokee Nation citizen, Karen Sixkiller, for her solo art exhibit, Cancer Sticks: Corruption of Sacred Tobacco, which sparks conversation and challenges perspectives. Sixkiller's latest exhibit will be open to the public at ʔaʔkʷustəŋáw̕txʷ House of Learning, Peninsula College Longhouse, on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 12:00–3:00 pm, January 7 – March 27, 2025.

Studium Generale: Artist Lecture with Cory Ench

International and Washington State Art Commission rostered artist, Cory Ench, will offer a presentation focused on his artistic journey through life that features his public murals, poster designs, cover art, fractal art, and paintings. Ench’s artwork, which has abstract and surrealistic roots, will also be on display in a solo exhibition in the PUB Gallery of Art.

Seattle Aquarium & Wings Over Washington Field Trip

Check out the Seattle Aquarium, go for a ride on Wings Over Washington and enjoy the new Seattle Waterfront! The ASC is picking up most of your admission fees. You pay just $29 to visit both attractions and you make your own way to Seattle. The Strait Shot bus is free to PC students and gets you to and from the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal. Non-students may also join the trip and will pay full fare, but still part of our group rate. Tickets will be on sale in February.

Concert Band & The Saxologists

Join us on Tuesday, March 11 for the winter performance from the Peninsula College Concert Band with special guests, The Saxologists.

The Saxologists feature Debbi Soderstrom on soprano sax; Jayne Morrison on alto sax; Keith Boll on tenor sax; and Ken Bergevin on baritone sax. Additionally, saxophonists Jayne Morrison and Keith Boll also perform with the Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble.
