Originally from Tulsa Oklahoma, I completed my undergraduate degree in philosophy and psychology at the University of Kansas.  I then studied experimental psychology at Washington State University, where I completed my Masters degree and my Ph.D.

Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, my instructional background includes over a decade in the education field teaching students in all grade levels, with an initial focus on high school English. I began teaching at Peninsula College in the fall of 2011.
