Due to COVID-19, we have limited in-person placement testing by appointment only, and online testing is available if needed.
Alternative placement options are available (high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, Smarter Balanced scores, college transcripts, etc.). Please review the Interim Alternative Placement documents at the bottom of this page. Submit alternative placement documents to testing@pencol.edu
If no alternative placement options are appropriate, you can sign up for the ACCUPLACER assessment at Placement Test Request . There is a $20 testing fee and you will need your Peninsula College student ID number. At this time, Peninsula College will pay the additional online testing fee. Once your payment is processed, you will be contacted to schedule your assessment. Photo ID is required to test - Acceptable ID
Online ACCUPLACER testing requires:
- a computer with a webcam/microphone/speakers (phones and tablets are not suported)
- a high speed internet connection and Chrome or Firefox browser
- a space with no interruptions and a clean desk/table
If you don't live in the area, you may be able to take the ACCUPLACER assessment at a college near you and have them send your scores to Peninsula College.
