Peninsula College Foundation Scholarships
The Peninsula College Foundation is committed to helping students succeed in college through its scholarship program and works with dozens of community donors to offer scholarships and awards to Peninsula College students! The Peninsula College Foundation is thrilled to offer nearly $200,000 in general and program-specific (i.e., nursing, multimedia communication/journalism, etc.) scholarship funds for the 2025–26 academic year.

Additional Scholarships for Peninsula College Students
Peninsula College offers additional scholarships designed to support our students in achieving their academic and career goals. These scholarships are available only to enrolled Peninsula College students and provide financial assistance for tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
- Clallam Promise Scholarship

The Clallam Promise Scholarship is a need-based scholarship available to students attending Peninsula College who have recently graduated (within the past year) from any Clallam County high school (Cape Flattery, Clallam Bay, Crescent, Forks, Lincoln, Neah Bay, Port Angeles, Quileute Tribal School, and Sequim).
The scholarship is designed to provide a maximum quarterly award up to $1,000 toward Peninsula College tuition and fees, with an additional $300 available toward textbooks, as well as up to $500 for the purchase of tools and supplies.
How do I apply? It’s easy! All you need to do is complete the FAFSA and complete your financial aid file with Peninsula College. This scholarship is first come, first serve, so make sure you apply now to see if you’re eligible.
How is the Clallam Promise Scholarship funded? The Clallam Promise is funded by the Albert Haller Foundation and the Ben & Myrtle Walkling Memorial Trust.
- Peninsula College uses the FAFSA application process to determine eligibility for Clallam Promise Scholarship awards.
- Students are notified by the Financial Aid office if they are eligible for Clallam Promise Scholarship funds, and will receive further instructions on how to obtain books and supplies (if applicable).
- Webster Scholarship for Multimedia Communication & Journalism

The Webster Scholarship for Multimedia Communication & Journalism supports a new or continuing student at Peninsula College who is pursuing Communication Studies-Journalism or Multimedia Communications. Award amounts are dependent upon a student's enrollment level. Students may receive up to $6,900 for an academic year. To do so, students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, in addition to maintaining a 3.0 combined GPA in in either Communication Studies-Journalism or Multimedia Communications classes.

- Types of Students: Certificate program, High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior
- Situations Funded: Support for Tuition, Support for Mandatory Fees, Support for Books and Supplies
- College: Peninsula College
- School Types: Public 2-year community/technical college
- Academic Programs: Undergraduate, Advanced Degree
- Enrollment Status: Full-time, Half-time, Less than half-time
- Field of Study: Broadcasting/Journalism, Multimedia Communications, Journalism
- GPA: 2.0 or greater cumulative; 3.0 or greater combined in Communication Studies-Journalism or Multimedia Communications classes
Application Details:
- If awarded, please indicate which of the following two paths you will use this scholarship for: 1) Communication Studies-Journalism; or 2) Multimedia Communications.
- Please compose a cover letter which addresses your interest in developing or continuing your educational goals in Communication Studies-Journalism or Multimedia Communications.
- If you are applying under the Communication Studies-Journalism path, please submit an essay or writing sample. You may type the sample directly into the application or upload the sample as an attachment to your application. The essay or writing sample must be submitted with the application to be considered for the scholarship.
- Transcripts Required: Please upload either your high school or college transcripts to this application per these instructions.
- High School transcripts are required for graduating seniors and Running Start Students only.
- Peninsula College Students: Upload your unofficial transcript.
- Students from Other Colleges: Upload transcripts from other accredited institutions in the United States you have attended in the last seven years. Peninsula College does not provide copies of transcripts from other colleges.
- Applications may be submitted via TheWashBoard.org website.
Other Instructions:
- If the required course(s) for any quarter add up to less than 5 credits, student must register for additional credits to bring their quarterly credit total up to a five (5) credit minimum. If the scholarship isn't used one quarter, the student will lose it for the rest of the year, with the exception of absence due to military service.
- Communication Studies-Journalism Students: Must have declared Communication Studies -Journalism as their education track and enroll in a minimum of five (5) credits of Communication Studies-Journalism (CMST) classes.
- Multimedia Communications Students: Must have declared Multimedia Communication as their education track and enroll in a minimum of five (5) credits from the Multimedia Communications graduation checklist each quarter.
Deadlines & Awards:
- Academic Year 2026–2027: Application Due 12/15/2026.
- Anticipated Award Notification: 12/29/2026 or prior.
- Award Amount: Between $920 and $6,900 per person.
Note: This scholarship is offered throughout the year, with periodic award notifications given as awards are made. There's no need to re-apply once awarded for the current academic year; continuing awardees will be re-evaluated each quarter. A new application is only needed for the new academic year, which begins in Summer.
Funding for the Webster Scholarship comes from an endowment established by the late Charles N. Webster, whose family founded the KONP radio station and the newspaper that is now known as the Peninsula Daily News. The donor organization is the Webster Trust.

Please note, the outside scholarships listed are intended for those seeking additional aid at any institution, not just Peninsula College. Due to this, some scholarships listed may have eligibility requirements that do not necessarily pertain specifically to Peninsula College students.
