This scholarship application opens January 1, 2025.
The Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) Foundation is looking for candidates who embody the people-helping-people philosophy by playing an active role in giving back to their community, whether through volunteering or through other meaningful contributions of time, effort, and care.
Applicant Eligibility:
- Only BECU members may apply. Applicants must have an active membership and be designated as the primary account holder. Learn more about membership.
- Applicants must be students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in an accredited two-year, four-year, or technical college or university. All scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full time students. (Post-graduate, Masters or Doctorate candidates are not eligible to apply).
Note: Previous recipients may not apply for additional scholarships. BECU Foundation Board of Directors, BECU Board of Directors, BECU Supervisory Committee, BECU Executive Management Team, and BECU Scholarship Selection Team or any family members of the above mentioned groups are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply:
- Complete an online application here. (Applicants will be required to set up a profile in order to start the application).
- Applicants are required to submit their hours of community service, grade point average, and current transcript. Applicants must also respond to short-answer and essay questions related to their commitment to higher education and how their community service exemplifies the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
- You are required to have at least one résumé verification submitted in addition to your supporting documents for your application to be complete. Your verification should be submitted by your direct supervisor (who is not a family member) during your time of participation in the activity you have listed in your application.
- It is the responsibility of the applicant to monitor the progress of all application requirements to make sure the application is complete. The status Complete will display on the home page when all forms have been submitted and all documents have been verified.
