The Clallam County Physicians Benefit Fund was "formed in 1995 when Regence BlueShield joined with Clallam County Physicians Service, Inc., a company formed by local physicians to provide health care coverage to Clallam County citizens."

Previous years' awards have ranged from $1,500 to $5,000.
Applicant Eligibility:
- Be a graduate of a Clallam County high school.
- Be accepted into, or currently enrolled and making satisfactory progress in, a fully accredited professional school in a medically related field for human health services. The Fund does not award scholarships for undergraduate studies or educational pre-requisites to professional schools.
- NOTE: Applicants to PC's Nursing program can apply for this scholarship even if they have not yet received confirmation of their acceptance into the program, as they can be awarded preliminary approval by the committee pending their acceptance.
How to Apply:
- Request an application by email through Holly Rockwell-Irwin at hrockwell.pirwin@gmail.com
- Complete the application form and submit it with the following documents:
*A copy of your Letter of Acceptance into, or a copy of your current school course registration in, a fully accredited professional school in a medically related field.
*A Personal Statement -- a letter of request for the scholarship, including your personal and career goals. Include all information that will enable the Committee to learn your background (i.e. other schooling/studies prior to medical school; military studies/service; what kinds of pursuits/ activities you have been involved in.)
*If currently enrolled, a copy of your current school transcript. - Submit the complete application packet to:
