Description
Ford Fund and Ford Dealers welcome the next generation of auto technicians by awarding $5,000 scholarships to students pursuing careers in auto and auto/diesel technology. This need-based scholarship is may be used for all cost of attendance expenses, including tuition, tools, living expenses and transportation.
The application is now open for the 2024-25 school year, and closes August 31, 2024.
Applicant Eligibility:
- Must be pursuing a degree or certificate in automotive technology
- Must be "enrolled" in college (meaning have an admission application on-file) at the time of applying for the scholarship
- Have a completed FAFSA or WASFA (financial aid application) with an EFC/SAI below 40,000
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have approved DACA status
How to Apply:
- Create an online profile in TechForce.
- Pick your college/university/tech school from the list - Peninsula College is on the list for the "Greater Seattle" area. (If your school is not listed, select "Other".)
- First, complete the General Application.
- Complete the "Apply to the Ford Fund AutoTech Scholarship" questions.
- The deadline to apply is August 31, 2024 for the 2024-25 academic year.
Applicants will be considered starting 4 months prior to their auto tech program's start date.
