Description
Applications are now available for the OMC Foundation’s scholarship fund, which will have up to $500,000 available to Olympic Medical Center employees and current and future students to advance careers in health care.
The scholarship fund was created to increase the number of healthcare workers in Clallam County, allow current OMC employees to further their education, and expand opportunities to others to pursue medical careers at Peninsula College.
Applicant Eligibility:
- must be either a PC student formally accepted into a medical field of study (Nursing, NAC, Med Assist, Phlebotomy, etc.), or a current OMC employee.
- must be a resident of Clallam County.
- must express interest in pursuing and obtaining an education to support community needs through medical care.
- Nursing scholarship applicants in particular must be willing to sign an agreement to pursue employment at OMC/OMP for a period of at least two (2) years or re-pay the amount of the scholarship in full.
How to Apply:

- Choose the appropriate application form (current OMC employee, or PC Nursing, or PC "other" medical programs)
- Complete the application checklist, which includes:
*Personal Budget form of monthly household income and expenses
*Total cost of the medical program which the student is enrolled/enrolling in with a detailed list of expenses
*Academic history (unofficial college transcript)
*One-page personal statement
*One letter of reference (from instructor, supervisor, or other mentor)

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis:
Fall quarter deadline: August 12, 2024
Winter quarter deadline: December 6, 2024
Spring quarter deadline: March 7, 2025
