Logan Matlock, Student Ambassador
Program of Study: Arts and Social Sciences
What I love about Peninsula College: The accepting environment, the great teachers and the beautiful are all big things I love. It is a wonderful school and I could go on.
What being a Student Ambassador means to me: It is a chance to help people and create a stronger and more organized future for myself and others.
Future plans after PC: I have a lot of paths open and so far I cannot narrow it down past three or four.
Lou Manthey, Student Ambassador
Program of Study: BAS in Applied Management
What I love about Peninsula College: They are reliable, affordable, located in a beautiful area, offer a variety of programs/certificates/degrees, diverse, and community oriented. I attended Running Start over 25 years ago, came back to graduate with my AA-DTA and Pre-Radiologic Technologist Certificate 15 years ago, and have returned to graduate June 2020 with my BAS in Applied Management. I was a single mom the second time I attended and PC’s Educare Center was essential in providing the best early childhood learning experience possible for my 3 year old. They are even better now! With him grown and gone, I’ve returned again. PC has been in my family for over 30 years. Both my parents retired from here and all of my siblings have attended and graduated from PC. There’s something for everyone here at Peninsula College!
What being a Student Ambassador means to me: I’m such a believer in Peninsula College and have always shared my love for education and PC. Being an Ambassador for PC gives me constant opportunities to do that. Let’s swap stories!
Future plans after PC: I have a background in LMP, RT(R), Systems Analyst, and Project Management. For my 6th career, I will get a Master’s in Cardiovascular Perfusion. The program sends you around the country for clinicals, so my husband and I sold our Condo in Issaquah and bought a 40’ Winnebago Vectra coach, and moved in with our two dogs in preparation for the adventure!
