- Loans In Default
The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) reported that you are in DEFAULT on a federal student loan.
Your financial aid file cannot be completed and reviewed for federal student aid (such as the Pell Grant or loans) until the default has been resolved and you provide documentation to the Financial Aid Office. Acceptable documentation is either a Default Clearance Letter from the U.S. Department of Education or a letter from the loan servicer stating your loans are no longer in default.
You may still be eligible for state grant aid if you are a WA State resident.
The phone number for the Department of Education is 1-800-621-3115.
