Rainier Olympic Nurses Association (RONA), formerly Pierce County Nurses Association (PCNA), offers four different types of scholarships to nursing students.
1. High School Level Scholarship - Awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a career path in nursing.
2. LPN to RN Level Scholarship - Awarded to a person who is applying to, has been accepted to or is currently enrolled in an LPN to RN program.
3. College Level Scholarship - Awarded to a person who is not yet a Registered Nurse, but who has been accepted into or are currently enrolled in a basic Registered Nurse Program, either pursuing their ADN or BSN.
4. Florence Golda Scholarship - Awarded to a PCNA member who is enrolled in a program to advance his/her nursing education. All Registered Nurses applying for the Florence Golda Scholarship must be a PCNA member in good standing.
Scholarship funds are sent directly to the accredited school. These scholarships are available to students living or attending school in Pierce County as well as within our expanded jurisdictional boundaries of Thurston, Kitsap, Grays Harbor, Mason, Clallam & Jefferson counties.

We also understand that it might be difficult to pick up completed recommendation forms to send in with your application. Forms may be sent directly to our office by the person providing the recommendation.
All scholarship applications must be received or postmarked by February 28, 2025. We do not accept electronic submissions at this time.
