These positions are only available to students who are eligible for financial aid and enrolled in six or more credits. Students will not be awarded Work-Study funds unless they remain registered for at least six credits and are hired for a Work-Study position. If you are eligible for financial aid and are searching for a job, please complete the following steps:
- Read the job descriptions below and contact the supervisors of positions you are interested in to schedule interviews.
- Complete your Work-Study Eligibility Form.
- Bring your Work-Study Eligibility Form to the Financial Aid Office in Student Services to have the top portion completed and signed.
Alternatively, the Work-Study Coordinator can email your eligibility info to your interviewer upon request. - Complete the Student Section of the Eligibility Form.
- Take the Eligibility Form to your interview. You will need to make copies of your completed form if you wish to interview for multiple positions.
- Leave the Eligibility Form with your interviewer(s) who will use your contact information to inform you if you have been offered the position.
- If offered a position, you must complete all new-hire paperwork with the Human Resources Office and wait until you receive work clearance before you begin working.
Please Note: Students can earn up to $2000 per quarter* working up to 19 hours per week maximum. Students who work the full 19 hours per week will meet their $2000 limit before the end of the quarter. *Actual award amounts may vary depending on students' budgets.

Bookstore
- Retail Clerk

Primary Responsibilities
- Assists customers in merchandise selection and purchase; operates cash registers in retail and/or service operation.
- Respond to all inquiries by customers in person, phone, web, or email, determine customer needs, and assist or direct customers to appropriate personnel. Process online orders for in store pickup or delivery. Serve as relief cashier.
- Maintain and ensure stock levels are adequate to meet customer demand; serve as backup to textbook buyer for ordering of textbook materials.
- May receive merchandise in the Inventory Control Systems, price and distribute the merchandise to the appropriate area.
- Arranges supplies and merchandise on shelves and in displays.
- Check accuracy of prices and tag merchandise on sales floor.
- Take part in conducting the annual physical inventory and serve as a primary member of inventory crew.
- Assist in processing merchandise returns and prepare them for shipping, ensure all items are packed properly. Prepare UPS for shipping.
- May open and close store; verify refunds conducted by student cashiers; conduct end of shift cash counts of registers to verify student cashier accuracy in money handling.
- May assist in preparation of cash receipts for bank deposit, daily cash reports, balance and reconcile daily cash, check, and credit card receipts, examine and resolve any out-of-balance problems. Count safe and order change as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
Job involves set up and take down of biology labs that occur in M-217, and M-213 specifically, and somewhat M-215. This would involve very simple but critical tasks such as:
- washing glassware and slides
- re-shelving lab materials in the prep rooms
- help stocking handouts
- organizing materials for labs
- removing materials from lab to prep room for breakdown
Depending on the hours, it could also involve help with maintaining the plants in M-217. Helping pack up field materials for field trips and rinsing and drying equipment after labs would be a huge help.
Required Skills

- Able to carry some equipment from prep room to cars, when going out on field trips
