Meet Jere Canote: A Musical Journey Through Vintage Americana
Get ready for an evening of fun, toe-tapping music and story with Jere Canote! A master musician, teacher, and luthier, Jere has been delighting audiences with his eclectic blend of vintage Americana since the mid-1970s. Known for his ability to effortlessly move between guitar, banjo, and ukulele, Jere brings a unique flair to old-time country, swing, and quirky novelty tunes.
As one half of the iconic Canote Brothers, Jere and his identical twin Greg have entertained fans for decades with their infectious energy and seamless harmonies that harken back to classic brother duets like the Blue Sky Boys and the Everlys. Many NPR listeners will remember the Canote Brothers from their 13-year stint as the affable sidekicks on Sandy Bradley's Potluck.
Jere lives in Port Townsend and continues to travel across the country, teaching at music and dance camps, while sharing the joy of music with people of all ages. Don’t miss this chance to experience Jere’s whimsical tunes and vintage Americana with a modern twist!
