Meet Artist Maria Coryell-Martin for an Evening of Art, Adventure, and Sketching!
Discover the intersection of art and adventure with renowned expeditionary artist Maria Coryell-Martin! As the founder of Art Toolkit, a Port Townsend-based company, Maria has created innovative, expedition-tested tools for sketching and painting in all environments—from urban landscapes to the most remote wildernesses on earth.
Since 2005, Maria has traveled the globe, focusing on painting polar and glaciated regions. Her artistic expeditions have taken her from the Pacific Northwest to Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and even the Antarctic Peninsula, where she has worked alongside scientists and naturalists.
Maria’s artistic journey has brought her face-to-face with wildlife like polar bears, leopard seals, emperor penguins, and narwhals. One of her most memorable experiences—juggling sketching tools while monitoring walruses in Greenland—inspired her to create the all-in-one Art Toolkit, a portable watercolor kit perfect for adventures.
Bring a sketchbook and join Maria for a unique, hands-on evening of art and storytelling. She’ll even have supplies on hand for you to try during her live demo!
