Studium Generale is delighted to welcome poet Zoe Berger as we celebrate the beginning of Spring Quarter, National Poetry Month, and Gentle House in Port Angeles, a unique and vital home for poetry.
Zoe Berger is a queer, Filipino-Jewish writer based in Brooklyn. Her poems have been published or are upcoming in The Poetry Society of New York's journal Milk Press, Antiphony Press, Wild Roof Journal, and The Naïve Journal, and she recently completed a residency with Tupelo Press to refine her manuscript for a forthcoming book of poems.
Kirsten Miles of Tupelo Press and coordinator for Gentle House will introduce the reading and teach us about the vision of Port Angeles poet Seán Mac Falls, who gave his home as a gift to other poets, which in his words is “a place of simplicity where poets can write without encumbrances and words can sing from the pages and leaves.”
Join us at 12:35 pm in The Little Theater on the main campus of Peninsula College or join us on Zoom. Meeting ID: 834 3095 5029
