Tidepools is now accepting submissions for Peninsula College’s (PC) annual literary arts magazine.
Residents of all ages living in Clallam and Jefferson counties are invited to enter their original artwork, photography, poetry, short stories, and music for an opportunity to win cash prizes and be published.
First place in all contest categories will win cash prizes. All contest winners are guaranteed publication in the diamond anniversary issue of Tidepools and will receive an invitation to present their work at the launch party in early June.
To make cash awards possible, entrants pay a nominal fee. Youth entries are $5, adult entries are $7.50, and students currently enrolled at PC can enter the contest for free. At Tidepools, we believe access to the arts is essential, and to eliminate financial barriers, all local creators are welcome to enter the non-contest categories for free to be considered for publication, but non-contest entries are not eligible for cash prizes.
Tidepools magazine boasts nearly sixty years of highlighting local artists across the Peninsula. The magazine has evolved over the years dabbling in print and digital magazines, in-person and livestreamed readings, and even a short film. With the continued support from the Clallam and Jefferson County arts communities, we hope to be around for at least sixty more!
If you or someone you know is an emerging or experienced artist who might like to see their work published, mail submissions or enter online before the SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, January 12, 2024. Winners will be announced Friday, March 8.
