Join our Learning Center team at the Port Angeles campus to support students in enhancing their writing skills.
As a Writing Center Tutor, you’ll conduct one-on-one sessions by appointment, assisting students with all stages of the writing process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, with a master's preferred.
- Ability to foster welcoming, inclusive learning spaces for students from all backgrounds.
- Experience working with students strongly preferred.
Details:
- Compensation ranges from $19.50 to $21.90 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.—2 p.m.
- On campus in the Peninsula College library with both in-person and Zoom sessions.
- Vacation, holiday, and sick leave are accrued based on hours worked.

Join our Learning Center team to support students in Information Technology and Computer Science courses. Applicants qualified in any of these areas are still encouraged to apply.
As a tutor, you’ll provide one-on-one support to students, helping them build confidence and succeed in their coursework.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated past or current success in the subject(s) you’ll tutor
- Ability to foster welcoming, inclusive learning spaces for students from all backgrounds
- Experience working with students or current enrollment in college courses preferred
Position Details:
- Compensation: $19.50 per hour
- Schedule: Up to 17 hours/week based on student needs/requests and your availability
- Sessions: May be held in person or via Zoom, depending on student preference
- Flexibility: Tutors and tutees coordinate session times directly
- Student tutors earn sick leave proportionate to hours worked
- Non-student tutors accrue vacation, holiday, and sick leave proportionate to hours worked

- Work Hours: Up to 17 hours per week, with a maximum of 19 hours per week for all positions at Peninsula College. Hours depend on the subject and position. Many tutors set their own schedule.
