π©βπ Many tutors are current PC students or graduates who excelled in the same classes and love helping students succeed.
π€ Some of our tutors are community members with strong backgrounds in their subjectsβbringing real-world knowledge and a love for teaching to support your learning.
π» Tutoring may be offered in person or via Zoom depending on preference and availability.
β±οΈ Students may receive up to 15 hours of tutoring per class, per quarter.

The Tutoring Center provides academic support for PC coursework. We care deeply about studentsβ well-being, but please note:

π€ What to Expect from Tutoring
Tutoring is a collaborative, interactive process that requires equal participation from both student and tutor.
π§βπ« Tutor Responsibilities:
- β° Show up on time ready to work
- π― Accommodate studentsβ learning goals and style
- π Help students identify strengths and find resources
- β Answer questions about course content
- π Explain strategies, processes, and approaches
- π Facilitate independent learning
π§βπ Student Responsibilities:
- β° Show up on time ready to work
- π Complete assigned reading, review learning materials, and look over assignments beforehand
- π Bring specific questions or goals to the session
- π§ Attempt class work independently first
- π« Attend class, do all assigned reading, watch assigned videos, and review all class learning materials
- πͺ Take responsibility for your own work and learning and continue working after the session to finish assignments
π£ If you receive accommodations through the SSD office, please ask them to share your tutoring accommodations with the Learning Center Coordinator.
