Join us in the on Thursday, August 8 at 7:00 pm in Maier Performance Hall on Peninsula College's Port Angeles Campus for an evening performance by the Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble. All ages are welcome and admission is free.
The concert features instrumental performances by the band under the direction of Marge Rosen with singer Robin Eaves from Joyce, WA.
The program will include classic and modern jazz from wide variety of composers such as George Gershwin, Count Basie, Thad Jones, John Coltrane, Henry Mancini, Chuck Mangione and Seattle composer Daniel Barry.
The performers represent some of the very best jazz instrumentalists the North Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Musicians from Port Angeles are Jim Bradbury and Larry Madsen on trumpet, and conductor Marge Rosen on drums. From Sequim are Nancy McPherson on trumpet, John Wetherill on piano, Jamie Porter on acoustic bass, Vern Sielert on electric bass, Keith Boll and Jeff Fox on saxophones, Jeff Dingle, Cliff Brown and Tom Hartig on trombone. John Adams, alto sax and bass clarinet, is from the Port Townsend.
