Join us on Tuesday, March 11 for the winter performance from the Peninsula College Concert Band with special guests, The Saxologists.

The Saxologists feature Deborah Soderstrom on soprano sax; Jayne Morrison on alto sax; Keith Boll on tenor sax; and Ken Bergevin on baritone sax. Additionally, saxophonists Jayne Morrison and Keith Boll also perform with the Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble.

Join us on Tuesday, March 11 at 12:00 pm for the Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble's Jazz in the PUB performance. Featuring classic and modern jazz music by Quincy Jones, Benny Golson, Richard Rodgers and Mary Lou Williams. Featured vocalists are Robbin Eaves and James Morley. The Jazz in the PUB event is free and open to the public.

The workshop is free and open to all Peninsula College students, faculty, and local high school music students. Can people really sing and act without a script but just relying on their wits, a chicken wing and a prayer? Well, yes they are going to try. Scratch that. ‘Do or do not. There is no try.’ They will DO it.

Join us on Thursday, March 13, for the Peninsula College's Jazz Ensemble Winter Concert. Featuring special guest artist, Steve Treseler, and performances of classic and modern jazz music by Quincy Jones, Benny Golson, Richard Rodgers and Mary Lou Williams, with featured vocalists Robbin Eaves and James Morley. This is a jazz event not to be missed! The Winter Jazz Concert is free and open to the public.

Join us on Friday, March 14, for a trumpet recital featuring Peninsula College's Kaitlyn Wood. Kaitlyn will perform classical, modern, and jazz music composed for trumpet. She will be accompanied by Linda Dowdell on piano and Marge Rosen on trumpet.

Join PC Faculty member Rob DeCou, who was awarded a Fulbright Associate opportunity to visit Pune, India, where his focus was Social Entrepreneurship. He will bring us a lecture and discussion on his teaching and learning during this time in India.

Rob DeCou is an educator, entrepreneur, and an ultra-endurance athlete who uses his passion and unique ability to persevere and push his limits, from ultra-triathlons to “Everesting,” for the purpose of raising awareness and building community around important issues. 

Meet Gabe Van Lelyveld: Award-Winning Documentary Filmmaker and Storyteller

Gabe Van Lelyveld is a celebrated visual storyteller with a passion for bringing real-life struggles and triumphs to the screen. With a B.A. in American History and Political Economics, Gabe's work in documentary film is driven by his desire to illuminate the human condition, touching on issues of social justice, addiction, and resilience.
