Dia de Culturas Festival

Come celebrate our diverse community at the Dia de Culturas Festival in Forks. This community-organized event will take place at the PC Forks campus on Saturday, September 30, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm. Enjoy food, games, art, dancing, music, and much more! At 3:30, there will be a dance presentation by the Mexica Tiahui Aztec Dance Group. This event is put on with support from First Step Family Support Center, Inatai Foundation, Mariposa House, North Olympic Library System, Peninsula College, and United Way.

Annual “Welcome to nəxʷsƛ̕ay̕əm Territory” to Open Peninsula College’s Fall Studium Generale Series

Studium Generale will open its Fall Quarter series with the traditional Welcome Celebration, a partnership among the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, and Peninsula College.

The Welcome Celebration takes place at 12:35 pm on Oct. 5th in The Little Theater on the main campus of Peninsula College. The presentations can also be accessed via Zoom livestream (link below).

The event will begin with a welcome from Tribal partners who co-created this annual event, followed by a collaborative presentation.

3rd Annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Poetry Reading

Port Angeles campus or watch on Zoom.
Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day through poetry by Native poets. Washington State Poet Laureate Arianne True will begin the event with a reading, followed by an open mic for Indigenous community members to share their poetry.
At the request of a key participant, we ask attendees to avoid using strong fragrances.

The All-In Film Festival festival highlights films by and about individuals in the intellectual and developmental disabilities community (I/DD community). Magic of Cinema is working with Clallam Mosaic and Studium Generale to present this festival.

The festival begins Friday, October 20, at 6:30 pm in the Little Theater. A reception will follow.

There will be a matinee showing on Saturday, October 21, at 2:00 pm. At this event, writer Christine Motokane will be signing her book "Working the Double Shift: A Young Woman's Journey with Autism."
